We are pleased to present the return of the Curtis Park Home & Garden Tour on April 22, 2023 from 10AM to 4PM in lovely Curtis Park, Sacramento, California.
Homeowners and gardeners in lovely Curtis Park are getting ready to present a Spring home and garden tour. The event is presented by the Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association with proceeds benefitting the Sierra 2 Center for the Arts and Community and neighborhood programs.
The tour is set for Saturday, April 22nd, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Throughout the day people from the greater Sacramento area will enjoy strolls under leafy canopies while viewing five homes constructed between 1910 and 1940 including Streamline Moderne, Mediterranean and Craftsman styles. Interiors range from classic to contemporary. Featured gardens include entertaining spaces, English cottage designs and drought tolerant landscapes.
The homes and gardens on tour are located throughout the neighborhood, encompassing a loop of one and a half miles. Bicycle racks will be provided for those that opt to cycle the route.
Several activities are scheduled throughout the event at the north end of Curtis Park including acoustic music by Midtown Jazz, vendors, coffee and food for sale. Information displays, picnic tables and chairs will be provided as well as restroom and hand washing facilities.
Vendors include: Light and Breezy Paper, Dania Lukey, Handmade, OB Woodworks, Kelsey Caroline Designs, Arizmendi Ceramics, Knottjustart.com, and Nurelle Creations.
The Capitol A’s Model A Ford Club will display pristine vintage cars in front of the homes and periodically tour the neighborhood throughout the event. Watch for plein air artists at work.
Tickets go on sale March 15th and can be purchased on-line or at the Sierra 2 Community Center located at 2791 24th Street. Advance General Admission tickets are $25 ($20 for SCNA members), and day of tour tickets are $30 ($25 for SCNA members). On the day of the tour tickets can be purchased at the north end of Curtis Park at 26th Street and Donner Way.
