Curtis Park

Curtis Park is a very unique neighborhood with a Neighborhood Association that is housed in a beautiful 1930’s school that was left vacant because of earthquake standards 20 years ago. It is now a focal point for the entire neighborhood with a 20 – member board and a paid full time director. Spaces and school was renovated by the city and neighborhood and now house a pre-school, caterers, psychologists, theatre, AA groups, etc., and have rooms to rent for wedding parties.

A Wine Tasting Fundraiser, Home Tour and Flea Market are just a few of the events that raise monies for the Center and the students at our neighborhood grammar school!

Concerts in the Park in the summer and a great running/walking track that is 1 mile around keeps our own beautiful park active all year around. This is a wonderfully diverse and close neighborhood with politically active people.
